Applicon i-banking is designed to make online banking experience secure, easy and efficient. The banks’s customers can perform a range of services via the internet. Applicon i-Banking relies on standard back end banking service platform such as SAP Core Banking and Advent.
The architecture
The Applicon i-Banking application is based on a n-tier architecture and has proven to offer high degree of scalability as it can be used in both small server environments and multi-server distributed processing environments.
The solution is built on the latest Microsoft technique, using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) as cornerstone in secure multi layer approach. It is highly secured and provides support for different authentication mechanisms.
Presentation Portal
The Applicon i-Banking Presentation Portal provides users with secure and easy to use graphical user interface that the user is very familiar with. Some examples of possible services are balance information on savings and loan accounts, pay bills, change username and password, perform account transfers and schedule recurring transfers, overview of stock portfolio etc.
Service Hub
The Applicon i-Banking Service Hub is the interface between any retail banking application (back end) and its internet channel or anything that can talk to the service based interface.
The Service Hub is the internet banking business logic, interfacing the back end system in a standard way. It takes care of all logging and security standards are very high. The architecture is built around data providers, that is a secure connection to back end system business logic. If customers have proprietary back end systems, a new data provider is built in a standard manner to encapsulate the services provided by the back end system.
Management console
An important part of the application is the Management console where administrative users can easily manage the internet banking environment. The management console provides user management console, security administration, easy common line utility for maintaining the product and a installer in case of multi server environment.
