Komplett ASA is a leading player in e-commerce, with a total of 11 webshops in 6 European countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland).
In 2005, the management of Komplett decided to offer customers the option of taking a loan to purchase goods in the company’s Internet shop and paying the loan through regular instalments. As the company places a great deal of emphasis on the transactions in its Internet shop being automatic, it was vital to find a solution that did not demand the involvement of employees when the loans were processed.
Komplett examined several solutions, and as the company uses an SAP Sales and Distribution System, the SAP Loans Management system proved to be the best option. Applicon had considerable experience implementing the SAP Loan Management System in the Nordics and was therefore asked to create a solution that met the requirements of Komplett. Work on implementing the solution began in the summer of 2005, and the Loan System was up and running in the Internet shop www.komplett.no in November that same year.
